Biography: Humpries

Beth Humphries, Manchester Metropolitan University

Beth Humphries is a principal lecturer in the Department of Applied Community Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University, with responsibility for the co-ordination of research degrees. She has worked in, taught and researched social work in Northern Ireland, Scotland and England. Recent publications are Rethinking Research (1994) (edited with Carole Truman), Understanding Research (1995) and forthcoming, Research in an Unequal World (edited with Carole Truman and Donna Mertens).
