Norma Romm is a Senior Researcher in the School of Management, University of Hull. Prior to this, she was Associate Professor of Sociology and then Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Swaziland. She also taught for many years in Sociology Departments in South Africa - and was Associate Professor in the Sociology Department at the University of South Africa. She has written The Methodologies of Positivism and Marxism (Macmillan), People's Education in Theoretical Perspective (with V. McKay Longman) and Diversity Management (with R. Flood, Wiley). She has co-edited two books - Social Theory (with M. Sarakinsky, Heinemann) and Critical Systems Thinking (with R. Flood, Plenum) - and published many articles. Her research interests concern alternative epistemological orientations and their implications for the practice of research.
