Dianne Millen has recently completed a PhD focusing on the attitudes of professional and campaigning organisations in science towards change for women in science, and the attitudes of female members towards the issues raised by the various feminist-inspired critiques of professional and intellectual practice in science. This research was inspired by experiences during a first degree in Chemistry/Education (York, 1993): the author is currently contributing to the Arianne Project (exploring adolescent masculinities) in the School of Education at the University of Cambridge. Other research interests include women's constructions of feminism, gender and IT and methodological issues in gender-sensitive research.
