Katie Buston is a Research Scientist at the Medical Research Council Medical Sociology Unit, Glasgow. Her doctoral research involved an analysis of media images of lone parent families, with subsequent work focusing on the experiences of young people with chronic illness. She is currently engaged in evaluating a teacher-led sex education package in Scottish schools. Her interests include methodological issues surrounding qualitative research, and young people's health generally.
