Michaela Rogers

Michaela is a Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Salford and a registered social worker. Michaela's professional and academic background spans children and families social work and adult social care. This has involved working with different groups of vulnerable people (ranging from young adults with ABI to women and children escaping domestic abuse). Michaela's research has centred on the needs of marginalised and seldom-heard communities (including trans communities and people with mental health problems). Michaela is a member of the Sustainable Housing & Urban Studies Unit and the Children & Young People Research Group at the University of Salford.

Anya Ahmed

Anya is a Senior Lecturer in Social Policy at the University of Salford. Anya has a professional background in housing and an academic background in social policy and sociology. She has led numerous externally funded projects focusing on the experiences of less heard communities in the UK. She writes about different forms of mobility, including forced, economic and lifestyle migration, and also ageing, gender and migration in a UK and EU context. Anya is the lead for diversity and inclusiveness at the Salford Institute for Dementia and is a member of the ESRC Peer Review College.
