Neil Armitage

Neil is currently a Sociology instructor at the University of British Colombia, Canada. Prior to this he was a lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University in the UK, obtaining his PhD in Social Change at the University of Manchester. For his doctorate, a critique of cultural cosmopolitanism, he developed the Biographical Network approach. His current research is developing the concept 'cosmopolitan heritage', exploring ways that common notions of 'heritage' may include rather than exclude multiple interpretations of the past in the present.
