Alice Altissimo
Alice Altissimo M.A. has studied Social and Cultural Sciences and European Studies in Germany and Poland. She is a researcher at the University of Hildesheim, Germany. Her research interests include transnationality and migration, intercultural communication and qualitative network analysis. Her Ph.D. project focuses on analyzing international students’ support networks. She coordinated a peer-couselling programme for language learning at the university of Frankfurt Oder, Germany and is a consortium member of two international EU funded projects: TACHYwe (Transnational Academic Careers in Child and Youth Welfare; capacity building) and MOVE (Mapping mobility – pathways, institutions and structural effects of youth mobility in Europe; research project). She is fellow member of the research training group “Transnational Social Support” at the University of Hildesheim and a founding member of the research network for network research (rnnr) based at the University of Hildesheim.
