Emma Casey
Emma Casey is Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Kingston University. She is a sociologist with a long-standing interest in domestic economies and forms of consumption. She is author of Gender, Class and the Gambling Experience which was shortlisted for the BSA Philip Abrams Memorial Prize in 2009 and (with Lydia Martens) Gender and Consumption: Domestic Cultures and the Commercialisation of Everyday Life. On-going research includes an ESRC grant for a project exploring gambling and households (RES-000-22-4314) with Mass Observation Archive.
