I have recently completed a PhD in Sociology at the University of Aberdeen. My thesis focused on the organisation and practice of Tibetan Buddhism through an ethnographic case study of the branches of Rokpa International in Scotland. During this study period, I have tutored core sociology to undergraduate students at the University of Aberdeen and have lectured in sociology at the Robert Gordon University and Aberdeen College. I have also presented papers at the Moving Forward Postgraduate Conference and at a department seminar, both at the University of Aberdeen, and at the BSA Annual Conference 2009 in Cardiff. The next step in my career is to get articles published.
