Ilan Kelman
Ilan (http://www.ilankelman.org) is Deputy Director of the Cambridge University Centre for Risk in the Built Environment. He researches disasters, risk, and vulnerability in the context of building sustainable communities and livelihoods. Aside from disaster diplomacy, his main work has been on floods, volcanoes, and transitional settlement and shelter, but his principal interest is disaster risk reduction in the context of sustainability for small islands.
